High-Quality Early Learning
and Child Care

Staff

We know that every child is unique and therefore deserves a unique education. Our highly qualified teachers and staff guide the way for your child to become independent while making good choices. We strive to ensure that your children will be introduced to every aspect of learning in their formative years, so they're prepared for the future.

We are extremely proud of our excellent staff of teachers, directors and support staff. All of our staff will meet the teacher requirements from the State of Nebraska. In addition to required training, we require on-going training for our staff through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR. We take great pride and responsibility to keep safe, educate and nurture the children within our care.

Sarah Satterlee - Owner/Director

Experience: I have been caring for children my whole life in various capacities, and have spent the last four years in a childcare center. Prior to that, I worked in the corporate world for over a decade in various customer service roles. Although I love helping people and enjoyed my time in these positions, after I had my daughter almost seven years ago I knew my heart was pulling me in a different direction. This led me to childcare where I had the privilege of working with all ages. I fell in love with every aspect of the center environment; getting to know the kids and their families, playing a role in their development and everything in between.

Why Childcare: Because I want to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. I cannot wait to build a positive and welcoming staff and to create an environment parents love to bring their children to each day. This is my passion and truly believe this is what I am meant to do. We are so excited to get involved in this great community and to make a positive impact on Gretna and the surrounding area.

My husband and I are co-owners of this facility and cannot wait to meet everyone! We currently live in Aspen Creek with our three children Ruby (6), Henry (4) and Lizzie (2). Along with spending time with family and friends we are enjoying all the aspects of owning a small business!

Emily Campbell - Education Director

Experience: I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Currently, I am licensed to teach infant through sixth grade in the state of Nebraska and Alabama. Having worked with children in various settings; from being a nanny, tutor and teacher for approximately sixteen years, I enjoy developing lesson plans and teaching. In my opinion, young children learn the best while having fun. My goal is to develop activities that are not only enjoyable, but also challenging to create lasting impressions.

Why Childcare: Younger kiddos have a special place in my heart, which is why I chose to take a career in Early Childhood Education. Research shows that children's first five years of life play a significant role in their lifelong development. Creating nurturing and educational learning experiences in the first few years of life will positively affect future physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. Knowing that the lessons I develop will help to form your child's educational foundation gives me great pride. We cannot wait to show your child how to have fun while learning!

I live in the Millard area with my husband, Chase, Our two sons: Ryan (2), Ethan (3 months), and our Shiba Inu, Penny. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, and going on walks with my family.

I am thrilled to be the Director of Education at Little Feet, Big Steps Childcare and Preschool. I look forward to being a part of your child's education!

Amanda Moultroup - Assistant Director

Experience: I have had the privilege of working in childcare for the last 5 years. At my previous center I started out working as a teacher in various classrooms and was then promoted to Assistant Director. Although I loved working directly with the children, I enjoyed the challenges and extra responsibilities of the management role. Here at Little Feet, Big Steps I started out as an infant teacher and then was promoted to the Closing Manager. Then a couple of months ago I was promoted to the Assistant Director. I’m looking forward once again to the extra responsibilities along with helping our staff and families feel welcome.

Why Childcare: Since having children of my own (I have 3 boys), it has really opened my eyes to a whole new world. I love being able to take care of these kiddos as infants, and then see how they develop and grow into toddlers, then preschoolers, Pre-Kers, etc. It truly is an amazing thing and I feel like I am making a difference in someones life.

I live in Millard with my Husband, Shane, and our three boys: Aiden (8), Logan (5), and Easton (2). We love spending our time outdoors with our family and friends.

We look forward to meeting you!
